Invitation to Attend Opening of Legal Year 2024 in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah

Dear Members, 

To commemorate the commencement of the Legal Year in Sabah and Sarawak 2024, the Sabah Law Society ("SLS") is delighted to extend a warm invitation to members of Advocates Association of Sarawak (“AAS”) to the Welcoming Reception and Gala Dinner. This event is not only a celebration but also a meaningful initiative aimed at fostering strong relationships with all facets of the judiciary systems.

Welcoming Reception

  • Date: 18th January 2024 (Thursday)
  • Time: 5:00pm - 8:00pm
  • Dress Code: Smart Casual 

  • Event: The Opening of Legal Year Sabah Sarawak 2024 Gala Dinner
  • Venue: Sipadan 1, Level 4, Sabah International Convention Centre
  • Date: 19th January 2024 (Friday)
  • Time: 6:30pm - 10:30pm
  • Dress Code: Shanghai Style/Formal Attire

 SLS will be collaborating with the Borneo International Centre for Arbitration and Mediation ("BICAM") in presenting a series of enlightening seminars. These sessions, meticulously organized, seek to provide valuable insights and promote knowledge exchange within the legal community. Please find the details of the seminars below:-

All members of the AAS are cordially invited to attend the Dinner event and the seminars. Please find enclosed the invitation card and flyers for your further perusal.

In the meantime, SLS in collaboration with the Sabah’s Judiciary will be producing the Annual OLY 2024 magazine highlighting the remarkable activities of the four legal bodies – the judiciary, the Sabah Law Society, the Advocates’ Association of Sarawak and the Attorney-General’s Chambers – throughout the year 2023. It is with pleasure and honour that the SLS herein invite esteemed members/firms of AAS to advertise in the upcoming Opening Legal Year 2024 magazine. Interested members/firms may fill up the Advertisement Form OLY 2024 as attached and return to SLS Secretariat via email at oly2024kk@gmail.com by 30th December 2023.
