About AAS

The Advocates Association of Sarawak is the professional association for advocates in Sarawak.

The aims and objectives of the Association are set out in the Association's Constitution. In summary, as follows:-

To maintain and improve the standards of conduct of the legal profession in Sarawak
To assist the Government and the Courts in all matters affecting legislation and the administration and practice of the law in Sarawak
To represent, protect and assist members of the Association and to promote in any manner the Association thinks fit the interest of the legal profession in Sarawak
To protect and assist the public in Sarawak in all matters touching or ancillary or incidental to the law
To promote good relations and social intercourse among members and between members and other persons concerned in the administration of law and justice
To establish and maintain good relations with professional bodies of the legal profession in other countries and states and to participate in the activities of any international association and become a member thereof
